Connecting People and Places by Improving Public Transportation
Thank you for your interest in improving public transportation in Washington County!
In partnership with Ride Connection, Inc., we need your help to update our Transit Development Plan to meet the public transportation needs of those living, working and visiting Washington County. Which improvements would you like to see in the next two to five years?
We use our share of Statewide Transportation Improvement Funds (STIF) to support these public transportation priorities:
- Serving areas outside the TriMet and South Metro Area Regional Transit (SMART) districts
- Connecting rural communities to the urban area
- Facilitating first and last mile connections within the TriMet district
- Providing public transportation services to low-income areas
- Coordinating between public transportation service providers to improve connections
- Providing public transportation services for students in grades 9-12
Please review the Service Improvement Proposals on Table 3. Which service improvements will help you, your family, your clients or your employees get to work, school, shopping, medical appointments or social activities? Take the survey and share your voice on Table 6.
The Washington County Transit Committee will use the results of this survey to develop recommendations to our Board of Commissioners to help them prioritize public transportation projects for STIF.
